MoUs signed to boost exchanges - Nation


KUALA LUMPUR: A city in the western province of Guizhou in China has signed three memorandum of understanding with industry players in Malaysia to boost exchanges in trade, tourism and culture. Liupanshui signed MoUs with Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association and Zheng He Duo Yun Xuan Art Gallery respectively. “For the period between January and August this year, total trade with China increased by 1.4% to US$36.59bil (RM163bil). MCCC vice-president I Loo Kok Seong said that the chamber had successfully organised its sixth Malaysia-China Entrepreneur Conference in Chengdu, Sichuan province, recently, with MoUs worth 2.3bil yuan (RM1.49bil) signed. The MoUs signed covered the areas of technology, agriculture, tourism, education, among others, he added.
