The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Bridge Department will soon start reconstruction work on the bridge over Mithi river at Mahim Causeway which falls under the G-North ward. The reconstruction work will include widening the length of the bridge which will serve dual purposes. "The contractor has already been appointed and the work will start soon," added Kori. Additionally, after the Supreme Court granted permission, the BMC has decided to start work in at least three bridges and one road-overbridge (ROB) during the financial year 2018-19. These include the bridge across Mithi River in Dharavi, the bridge near Amarnath Tower building, Hancock Bridge and the proposed ROB at Vikhroli Railway station.
