Mississauga mom launches complaint after police handcuff her 6-year-old daughter

The distraught mother of a six-year-old girl is launching a complaint against Peel Regional Police after officers handcuffed her daughter at the child's elementary school. "My daughter didn't have a knife, my daughter didn't have a gun, there's no way my daughter could've harmed anybody in that situation," the mother said. Peel police officers arrived on the scene and weren't able to calm down the child, either. Officers then handcuffed the six-year-old's hands and feet for "the safety of other students and ultimately the child," Peel Regional Police spokesman Sgt. As a result, the mother believes her daughter was being targeted by former school administrators and teachers who wanted the child out of the school.
