The powerful explosion levelled one house and badly damaged those adjacent to it. Officials representing fire and police investigators are scheduled to speak at a noon ET news conference that CBC.ca will stream live. Tuesday's explosion happened on Hickory Drive, a street with mostly single-family homes, about 30 minutes west of Toronto. Emergency officials in Mississauga, Ont., are expected to provide more details this morning about the investigation into Tuesday's powerful house explosion that left a woman dead and badly damaged more than two dozen homes. Two homes adjacent to the explosion will have to be demolished and removed, fire officials said Wednesday.
