JCM is an initiative by the Sports Ministry and the National Sports Council (NSC) to develop cycling in Malaysia at all levels, from beginners to racing champions. Others attendees were NSC director-general Datuk Ahmad Shapawi, CIMB group chief executive Tengku Zafrul Aziz and CIMB Foundation chief executive officer Datuk Hamidah Naziadin. CIMB Foundation will also be sponsoring an eight-member squad for next month’s Australia Tour. JCM also organises cycling clinics at selected schools to promote safe cycling as well as to scout for fresh talent. Young cyclists with potential will also be exposed to a series of tours in Europe and Australia.
