A man with a $320,000 estate to distribute has been told to step up his efforts to find his brother, Kevin Thomas Hodgson,​ whom he has not seen for more than 20 years. Their father Thomas (Tom) Winston Hodgson​, of Whangārei, died in mid-2019 and the $320,000 estate can now be distributed but, so far, Kevin Hodgson has not been found. His brother, Ian​ Hodgson, applied to the High Court in Wellington to pay the money to himself and sister Vanessa​. Ian Hodgson said he had asked family and friends if anyone knew where Kevin was, and he advertised in one newspaper in New Zealand and one in Melbourne. Searches on social media would arguably have a far greater likelihood of finding Kevin Hodgson, or learning his fate, no matter where in the world he might be, she said.
