The discovery led the villagers to search the area, after which they spotted a python with a large belly. Graphic videos captured the snake being cut open in a wooded area as Farida was found fully clothed inside. Statistics indicate that Farida's death marks the fifth person to be devoured by a python in the country since 2017.
