The body of a missing man from Mississauga was found in a lake north of Belleville Monday, the Ontario Provincial Police said. Saad Salman, 21, had been swimming with friends about six metres from the shore of Stoco Lake in Tweed, Ont. Salman never resurfaced after going underwater around 4 p.m., OPP said. Central Hastings OPP, along with underwater search and recovery unit, found the body at around 10:30 p.m. the next day. Salman and his friends had been at the lake for the Garden of Eden electronic music festival, which was happening in the nearby Trudeau Park.
