All you need to say is, “I’m afraid I need some quiet time.”Dear Miss Manners: The woman ahead of me in line left her overflowing grocery cart to take her toddler to the bathroom. Miss Manners has gotten dozens of these lately. Only if they are really late, and you greet them by saying, “I know you wouldn’t have wanted us to wait.”
