Chief minister Vasundhara Raje has allocated Rs 3 crore to spoting sporting talent in the state but the sports council officials have been spending money without any purpose. But, the talent search has been reduced to a mere formality. Through, this talent search 20 sportspersons would be selected from each game and they would be given scholarship for the entire year. Similar complaints had been received at district level competitions with a whopping expenditure of Rs one crore while divisional level tournaments incurred Rs 14.67 lakh expenditure.
