Early results from the Dhaka-8 constituency show BNP-nominated candidate Mirza Abbas, representing the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, leading over his rivals. The office of the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner and Returning Officer announced results from 33 out of 109 centers in the constituency. Mirza Abbas had received 16,790 votes, while 11-party alliance candidate Nasiruddin Patwary of the National Citizen Party (NCP) had secured 15,470 votes. Dhaka-18 results from 34 center showed BNP candidate SM Jahangir leading with 20,836 votes, while Ariful Islam Adib of the Shapla Koli symbol has 14,889 votes. In Dhaka-16, early returns from 34 centers indicate a close contest, with BNP’s Aminul Haque, Sheaf of Paddy symbol, leading at 16,175 votes against Colonel (Retd.)
