After the death of his child and wife, the man, who sustained burn injuries in a fire incident, has died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Manik, 35, died at the burn unit of the hospital around 6:30am on Thursday, DMCH police camp Sub-Inspector Bacchu Mia said. He had sustained 95% burns in a fire that broke out at a building in Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Wednesday. Manik’s seven-month old boy, Tamim, was burnt to death in the fire which started from a lit cigarette butt. Later in the day, Manik’s wife Mina, 28, died around 2:15pm while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
