The Stars removed 10 players from the league’s COVID-19 protocol Monday morning, clearing forwards Radek Faksa, Luke Glendening, Roope Hintz, Joel Kiviranta, Michael Raffl and Jason Robertson, and defensemen Jani Hakanpää, Miro Heiskanen, Esa Lindell and Ryan Suter to rejoin the team. The mass injection of players (plus “almost the full team back” in the AHL, Nill said) means the Stars are likely to play their scheduled game Thursday against Florida. The Panthers placed two players into COVID-19 protocol Monday but recently had a group of players exit protocols after Florida’s shutdown before Christmas break. “That’s the plan.”The Stars practiced Monday and have practice Tuesday and Wednesday before playing the Panthers. Kero (concussion protocol) had not skated with the Stars since he was injured by Chicago forward Brett Connolly’s hit Dec. 18.
