At least three people died and four other are still missing after typhoon Mirinae battered northern Vietnam this week, search and rescue authorities have said. Mirinae also sank 67 fishing boats and knocked down 17,000 utility poles, the report said. The storm, which made landfall on Wednesday, also left 21 people injured, according to a report by the Central Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control. Thirty houses collapsed and more than 24,700 others lost their roofs in the storm.
