The ADJ court on Friday sentenced Harnek Singh to life imprisonment in the 22 year old Rajendra Mirdha abduction case. The judgement comes eight years after the death of Rajendra Mirdha. Speaking to the media after the sentence was pronounced singh said, “I respect the order of the court and I shall appeal against the judgement. There is lacuna in the judgement.”Notably, Rajendra Mirdha, son of Congress leader Ram Niwas Mirdha was kidnapped on February 17, 1995. Rajendra Mirdha was later rescued by the police later in an operation.
