Property developers in urban areas may soon be required to instal wastewater treatment technologies. Water PS Fred Segor (pictured) on Tuesday told the Star water scarcity could be solved by adoption of new technologies to facilitate wastewater treatment. “Wastewater treatment is being reviewed at the policy and regulation levels to create the appropriate environment for its utilisation. Phosphorous is essential in making fertilisers, and its ready availability could be a direct benefit towards making Kenya food secure.
