General News of Saturday, 29 September 2018Source: ghananewsagency.orgMinistry of Local Government to organise conference for MMDCEsSector minister, Hajia Alima MahamaA 5-day capacity building conference for Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) is set to begin on October 1 to 6. The conference organised by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) is aimed at providing knowledge and skills to enable the MMDCEs effectively discharge their responsibilities. It would be held under the theme: “Re-energizing MMDCEs to deliver on Government’s Agenda”. A statement signed by Ebenenezer Owusu-Ansah, Head of Public Relations Department of the Ministry and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the conference is targeted at the 54 MMDCEs who were newly appointed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The statement said the newly appointed 54 MMDCEs will report for a two-day orientation, whilst the other 200 will join on the third day.
