PETALING JAYA: From distant conflicts to dinner tables, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are quietly reshaping global food supply chains with potential implications for Malaysia, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu (pic). With this in mind, the Agriculture and Food Security Minister called on Malaysians to adopt small-scale farming at home. Mohamad said geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East were not merely foreign issues but were already affecting global food supply chains, with impacts that could reach households in Malaysia. “We may not see it directly, but the effects can reach our dining tables,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday. “God willing, small efforts today will become a great strength for the future,” Mohamad added.
