Manju has been accused of violating the model code of conduct by giving approvals for 1,093 applications for grant of bagair hukum land in Arkalgud taluk after election dates were declared. The Returning Officer, in his report submitted to the DC on April 6, said that Prasanna Murthy, Arkalgud Tahsildar, violated the code. Mr. Yogaramesh, in his complaint, said that Mr. Manju, as MLA of Arkalgud, heads the land grant committee. The RO, in the inquiry report, said the proceedings of meeting were not clear. Moreover the footages do not show the Minister’s visit to the office on the day,” the inquiry report said.
