THE planned passage of the N30,000 minimum wage by the Senate on its planned resumption this week has suffered a setback following the announcement on Sunday of a postponement of the lawmakers’ resumption. The N8.83trillion 2019 budget which is also scheduled for consideration has also been affected by the postponement. “The Committee will definitely meet on Tuesday if Plenary Session reconvenes on that day. Others are the Deputy Whip, Senator Francis Alimikhena (APC Edo North), Adeola Olamilekan (APC Lagos West) and Binta Masi Garba ( APC Adamawa North ). The last member of the committee, Senator Abu Ibrahim (APC Katsina South), is, however, not seeking a return to the Senate.
