But for a man in Burnaby, B.C., that dream has become a reality — not once, but twice. On May 4, 2016, David O'Brien won a $5-million prize after matching all six numbers playing Lotto 6/49. Then last month, on June 20, he won the $1-million guaranteed prize playing the same game. O'Brien, who is retired and has played the lottery for as long as he can remember, said the win feels "mind boggling." Then last month when O'Brien broke the news to his wife that he had won for a second time, she didn't believe him.
