Members of the forestry sector are hopeful that the Climate Action Plan will make forests more resilient to forest fires once damaged areas are replanted. Mark Jaccard, director of the Energy and Materials Research Group at SFU, says planting trees "doesn't cut it." Harrison says he's happy to see reforestation taking a front seat in the carbon plan.
