OPINION: Millennials are losing the culture war on cool, and we know it. First Gen Z came for side parts and skinny jeans, then the laugh-cry emoji. Dark greens are often brought in with houseplants, and nicely contrast the “millennial pink” that hit the peak of its popularity in 2016, when the shade showed up on every product in homewares, beauty products, and fashion. If you can't afford any frills, or any fails, you end up with millennial design. It could be the next millennial artefact to fall victim to the merciless roasting of our Gen Z peers.
