MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude-4.1 earthquake rocked Davao Oriental before dawn yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The quake occurred at 2:30 a.m. with its epicenter located 19 kilometers southeast of Cateel town. It was felt at Intensity 3 in Lingig, Surigao del Sur. No damage or aftershocks were expected from the tremor, Phivolcs said.
