Unai Emery, Arteta’s predecessor, was dismissed for less obvious failure but the board are not ready to wield the axe on Arteta just yet. This is not a limitless supply of faith though, with Arteta having until the end of the calendar year to sort the team out or face dismissal. Arteta made the worrying admission that the club is on a downward trend, after their Europa League exit on Thursday, but called for unity to address the situation. So, there are things to change, that’s for sure because you know no one is going to accept that at this football club. I am not going to accept that, and the fans are not going to accept that.
