Mikel Arteta will reportedly earn £5million a year at Arsenal with the Spaniard set to be appointed as new boss of the Gunners. The club have been without a permanent manager since sacking Unai Emery at the end of last month. Freddie Ljungberg has been in caretaker charge though struggled at the helm, winning just one of his five matches. Though Arsenal chiefs have targeted Arteta as their option with the Spaniard now set to move to the Emirates. He has been working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City though Arsenal want to appoint him before the weekend.
