And that is why gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights. Any senator who votes to confirm Mike Pompeo is telling LGBTQ people, Muslims and others they are second-class citizens. I find it appalling that this man may become our next secretary of state. We should be well beyond allowing politicians to use religion as an excuse for discrimination against LGBTQ people.
