Former Vice President Mike Pence tweeted Wednesday that baseball “should be apologizing to Catholics across America” for the Dodgers’ decision to recognize the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence during the team’s Pride Night festivities later this month. “The MLB should not be apologizing to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” Pence wrote, “they should be apologizing to Catholics across America. Dodgers relief pitcher Blake Treinen disapproves of the Dodgers’ Pride Night invite for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. However, inviting the Sister’s [sic] of Perpetual indulgence to perform disenfranchises a large community and promotes hate of Christians and people of faith.
