Redmond giant Microsoft launched a new operating system at its Spring EDU event in New York City on Tuesday. The new operating system, that Microsoft calls Windows 10 S, is a skimmed down version of the company's incumbent Windows 10 operating system designed specifically for the classroom environment. "Everything that runs on Windows 10 S is downloaded from the Windows Store which means first it is verified for security and performance. It's no rocket science to figure that Microsoft's Windows 10 S has been designed from grounds up to take on Google's Chrome OS.
