A 12-year-old Michigan boy is suffering from severe burns after partaking in the "fire challenge" — and his mother is speaking out in an effort to warn other parents. Jason Cleary, of Dearborn Heights, was playing with a friend on Sept. 28 when his mother, Tabitha Cleary, heard screaming. That's when we saw his friend Bryce riding him on the bike with no shirt on," Cleary told WDIV-TV. A 12-year-old girl in Detroit was left with 49 percent of her body burned in August 2018 after playing the challenge. "I mean, my son got burns second-degree and could have been way, way worse."
