Michigan’s top oversight body will review data on the number of coronavirus-related deaths in nursing homes, following GOP suspicions of underreporting. Michigan auditor general Doug Ringler agreed last week to investigate the accuracy of the number of deaths reported in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. "The number of long-term care facility deaths is likely higher than what is being reported." Hertel said she did not believe long-term care facilities had any incentive to conceal coronavirus-related deaths.
