Michels Canada has been selected to build the Alberta portion of the Keystone XL pipeline. "Michels Canada is pleased to be selected to build the Keystone XL pipeline project, which will bring with it thousands of good-paying jobs and economic benefits to local communities along the pipeline route," Michels Canada president Dean Cowling said in a release. Premier Jason Kenney says he is pleased that Nisku-based Michels Canada has announced hiring plans for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline in Alberta. "The overwhelming consensus is projects such as Keystone XL will play a vital role in the post-pandemic economic recovery of both our countries." Rob Sillner, Keystone XL vice-president in charge of Canada execution & project enablement, said Michels Canada was a strong competitor for the bid.
