Michael Venus into semifinals at Cincinnati MastersPETER MEECHAM/PHOTOSPORT Michael Venus has another big payday coming his way. Michael Venus is into the semifinals of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati with his American doubles partner Ryan Harrison. Venus and Harrison defeated the top seeds and world No 2 doubles team Henri Kontinen from Finland and Australia's John Peers 7-6 4-6 12-10 in a thrilling match that lasted 93 minutes. Having lost in the first round of their previous three tournaments, Venus and Harrison have returned to the form that led to winning the French Open earlier this year and it looks almost certain that they'll get to play in the ATP Masters Finals in London in November. Cincinnati is one of the biggest tournaments outside the Grand Slams and by making the semifinals Harrison and Venus will pocket at least US$32,685 ($44,700) from their week's work.
