Blackpool have signed forward Michael Obafemi on loan from Premier League side Burnley until the end of the season. The 25-year-old returns to Lancashire having spent the first half of the season on loan with German 2. Obafemi made his senior breakthrough with Southampton before joining Swansea in 2021 and, later, Burnley, where he has made 16 appearances in total. A Republic of Ireland international, Obafemi has won 12 caps for his country and has also played in the Championship with Millwall and Plymouth Argyle on loan. "He has a point to prove and is desperate to get back to where he was in his career not too long ago.
