The two men have accused the music legend of molesting them when they were boys - however their legal claims were dismissed in 2017. In a tentative ruling, the 2nd District Court of Appeal said lawsuits should be 'reconsidered by the trial court'. The decision is based on a new California law that gives sex abuse victims far longer to sue. Biographer Mike Smallcombe accused Safechuck of lying in Dan Reed's documentary, namely about claiming he had refused to testify for Jackson in his 2005 trial. Very early on in the trial, the judge ruled that he would allow the jury to hear about five boys whom the prosecution claimed were sexually abused by Jackson."
