Michael Brown took the most monstrous act one human could inflict on another and created a monumental force for good across the world. The result was the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, known as Clare’s Law, giving people the right to know of a partner’s history of violence. The UK-wide initiative attracted global attention. Brown lobbied politicians and appeared on primetime television and radio and in countless newspaper and magazine articles. Clare’s Law even featured in Coronation Street’s present domestic violence storyline.
