The New England Patriots had a victory all but wrapped up, leading 33-28 with mere seconds remaining and the Miami Dolphins on their own 31-yard line. They've now lost five of six games in Miami, but this one hurt as much as any of them. Although the Patriots' defense was better in the second half (prior to the late meltdown), it allowed the Dolphins 9.2 yards per play. The Patriots are 9-4 and have work to do to secure a first-round bye. But this is as bad a late-game collapse as the Patriots have had in some time — even in their own house of horrors in Miami.
