MEXICO CITY: Mexico may have a problem with violence, but its government says it is not the second most violent country in the world, as US President Donald Trump has claimed on Twitter. Trump had posted earlier: “Mexico was just ranked the second deadliest country in the world, after only Syria. Drug trade is largely the cause. “It is very rare for criminal violence to reach a level akin to armed conflict,” the IISS report said. Mexican officials have derided Trump’s claim that Mexico will pay for the wall’s construction.
