Metro staff union revives strike plan


more-inThe BMRCL Employees’ Union announced on Monday that it would go ahead with the deferred indefinite strike as talks with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd had failed to resolve their grievances. Employees union representatives and BMRCL management held talks between March 26 and April 20, as per an order issued by the Karnataka High Court. It is unbecoming of a government organization,” said union employees. They took the call to revive the deferred strike at a general body meeting of the union held on Sunday. Suryanarayana Murthy, vice-president of the union said, “A decision on the date of the strike will be taken after studying the legal issues.”The union has also decided to approach the high court seeking action against the BMRCL management.
