Safety Commission Chief Operating Officer Sharmila Samarasinghe said Tuesday the commission has approved 20 of 21 corrective action plans Metro was required to submit after the audit. The team had requested a stoppage, but the ROCC told it to stand by. ADMembers of the team told safety investigators they weren’t watching for train traffic because they assumed the ROCC was watching out for them. At least one electrician told investigators “they were scared to raise a good-faith challenge due to fear of retaliation,” Walker said.
