Metlifecare's The Poynton retirement village, one of 25 villages it operates. A fresh takeover offer has been made for retirement village and aged care provider Metlifecare by the same company which made a higher bid for it last year. AVPG’s new offer is conditional on the legal case being dropped. It would also hinge on the majority of Metlifecare directors recommending the offer to shareholders. Metlifecare said it had decided in the circumstances, to defer its special shareholders meeting scheduled for Friday.
