A Great Barrier Island resident who couriered drugs from Auckland to Wellington has been given home detention. It was not the first time Cheyenne Tate, 31, worked as a drug courier. She has a previous conviction from 2013 for taking 67 grams of methamphetamine from Auckland to Blenheim. Tate pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine for supply, possession of a small amount for her own use and possession of an offensive weapon.
