(File photo)A Nelson woman who injured three others in a serious crash was found to have methamphetamine and cannabis in her blood at the time. The impact caused the vehicle Leigh hit to be pushed into the oncoming lane, where it was hit again by a vehicle towing a boat. Judge Zohrab said Leigh was immature, lacked insight and had a limited ability to empathise with others. Judge Zohrab sentenced Leigh to 18 months intensive supervision with the special conditions she attend an assessment for an alcohol and drug intervention as well as an assessment for a departmental rehabilitation programme and directed by probation.
