Share TweetBy Ellalyn de Vera-RuizThe Leonids meteor shower, one of the most active meteor showers of the year, will be visible in most parts of the country in the late hours of November 21 until dawn of November 22. According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the meteor shower can be seen over a period of about two days centered on the early morning hours of November 22. It noted that the Leonids meteor shower will radiate from constellation Leo and can be observed in the eastern horizon. The Leonids meteor shower is created by bits of debris left behind by the repeat passages through the inner solar system of comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle.
