Metallica play a surprise charity show in Toronto on Nov. 29

Heavy-metal legends Metallica revealed Monday that they’ll play a special charity concert at Toronto’s Opera House next week in celebration of the studio’s 10th studio album, Hardwired … To Self-Destruct. The band has priced two separate sets of tickets for the Nov. 29 show, with all proceeds going to The Daily Bread Food Bank. Fifth Members — that is, members of the band’s fan club — will be able to purchase pre-sale tickets between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday for $25 via Tickemaster.ca. Non-members will be able to purchase two tickets per person on the same day, as of 11 a.m. for $100. Aside from the proceeds, the band will set up collection bins and encourages all people in attendance to bring non-perishable food items.
