On Thursday, highest rainfall was recorded in Jessore – 265 mm, and the highest temperature was in Syedpur – 33.8 degrees Celsius. In its forecast for Friday, the Met Office said light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty wind may occur in all divisions. Apart from forecasting a decrease in rainfall in the next 72 hours, the Met Office also said day temperature might rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius. The monsoon is yet to end, but meteorologists have hinted less rainfall in the next few days. Moderately heavy to heavy rainfalls may also occur at some places.
