Met Office issues parts of Wiltshire with yellow weather warning

Storm Ciarán brought heavy rain and strong winds to much of southern England earlier this week, with areas of Wiltshire affected on Wednesday evening and into Thursday. Now, the Met Office has warned residents that more rain is one the way which could bring flooding to some areas. (Image: Public submission)The warning area, which comes into force at 5am on Saturday, covers areas from Westbury and Tidworth to the south coast. A statement on the Met Office website said: “A spell of heavy rain early in the day clears northwards but is followed by fairly frequent heavy and blustery showers. “Around 15-25 mm of rain will fall in some places but with perhaps 30 - 40 mm by the end of the day in coastal southeast England.
