Met Éireann forecasts outbreaks of rain as nights to get cold


Photo: Stephen Collins/Collins PhotosIt will be a cloudy, damp start to the day as outbreaks of rain extend across Connacht and Ulster this morning, leaving any sunny spells to the south of the country. Met Éireann has forecasted potential heavy bursts of rain in parts of the south and southeast of the country as temperatures hit highs of 12 to 16 degrees. It will be another cloudy night with outbreaks of rain and some clear spells as temperatures drop between 7 to 11 degrees. The weekend will begin with another cold night on Friday after a dry day with a some sunny spells and scattered showers. The outlook for the coming days shows more unsettled conditions are on the way from Sunday with further rain also expected.
