The day began with Eid congregational prayers held at various Eidgahs and mosques across the city. After the prayers, worshippers participated in special supplications seeking peace for the country, the nation, and the world. Due to adverse weather conditions, Eid prayers were held at the mosque of Shah Makhdum’s shrine instead of the central Eidgah this year. He said, “Despite the adverse weather, we are grateful to Almighty Allah for being able to perform Eid prayers. Zila Parishad Administrator and freedom fighter Ershad Ali Isha and Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton also offered prayers together.
