Jyah Elliot and dad Paul made the remarkable discovery on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula during a fishing trip. The note describes the then journey of a 13-year-old boy travelling on a cruise ship along the southern Australian coast from Fremantle in the west to Melbourne in the east. Now Jyah is searching online for the author, Paul Gilmore, a British man who would now be 63 years old.
